EPL: Bruno Fernandes Breaks David Beckham Record

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has surpassed former club star David Beckham’s record for the Red Devils.

The milestone came after Fernandes scored against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.

Two goals from Fernandes, combined with one from Benjamin Sesko, secured all three points for Michael Carrick’s side at Old Trafford.

According to OptaJoe, Fernandes has now both scored and assisted in 18 different Premier League matches for Manchester United.

This feat surpasses Beckham’s record of 17, leaving Fernandes only behind Wayne Rooney (35) and Ryan Giggs (22).

Fernandes will aim to maintain his impressive form when Manchester United take on Newcastle next Wednesday.
