Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that forward Erling Haaland sustained a slight knock during a recent training session.
Haaland has been left out of City’s matchday squad for the clash against Leeds United in Saturday’s late fixture.
Guardiola has adjusted his lineup, handing Rayan Cherki a role supporting Omar Marmoush and Antoine Semenyo in attack.
“Two days ago in training he had some problems and a little injury. Not a big issue but not ready for today,” Guardiola said.
“We are without one top striker and we are playing with another top striker.”
City are aiming to narrow the points difference with Arsenal to just two with a victory.
