Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has announced his departure from the Premier League club at the conclusion of this season.
In a post on social media on Friday, De Bruyne stated, “these will be my final months as a Manchester City player.”
The Belgian international joined Manchester City from Wolfsburg in 2015 for £54.5 million. Throughout his tenure at the Etihad Stadium, the 33-year-old has secured six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and the Champions League.
De Bruyne was a crucial figure in Pep Guardiola’s historic treble-winning team during the 2020/21 season.
Previously, he drew significant interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia last summer but opted to continue his career in England.
