Liverpool manager Arne Slot has disclosed that his predecessor, Jurgen, turned down two invitations to return to the Premier League outfit.
Klopp stepped down at the end of the previous season after nine years at Anfield.
Slot replaced Germain and has made a good start with the Reds.
Liverpool are currently top of the league table and won the Champions League league stage.
They will also face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.
Klopp has not returned to Merseyside since leaving the Reds.
But Slot has made it known that Klopp is welcome to visit the Reds’ training base and Anfield.
Slot said to the media: “I invited him [Klopp] to the [Manchester] City and Real [Madrid] home games but he told me he was somewhere else in the world.
He is free to come here whenever he wants, to the games or even to this facility [at the training ground in Kirkby].
“For me, he is more than welcome. In the first half of the season he was enjoying life, with his wife, and at this time he has a job to do.”.
