Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski will miss the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final against Atletico Madrid.
The current LaLiga leaders are facing a 4-1 deficit from the first leg.
Barcelona will have to mount a comeback without Lewandowski, who sustained a fractured eye socket.
The club confirmed the injury in a statement on Sunday.
The announcement read: “Lewandowski got hurt in the game against Villarreal.
“Medical tests showed a fracture in his left eye socket.
“He won’t play against Atletico Madrid.”
The 37-year-old has seen limited playing time this season, with coach Hansi Flick favouring Ferran Torres in the central role. Nevertheless, Lewandowski found the net in their 4-1 victory over Villarreal on Saturday.
