Napoli Close in on Buongiorno: €38m Deal Agreed with Torino

It appears Napoli are on the verge of bolstering their backline with the highly-rated Alessandro Buongiorno. Negotiations with Torino have already secured a €38 million transfer fee, and reports suggest the final details regarding Buongiorno’s personal terms are close to being ironed out.

This transfer represents a significant coup for Napoli manager Antonio Conte. Buongiorno, a 25-year-old defender for Torino and the Italian national team, has been a key target for the Partenopei throughout the summer window. Conte, known for his preference for a strong defensive foundation, is said to be particularly keen on bringing Buongiorno’s talents to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The final hurdle appears to be the release clause within Buongiorno’s contract. With Napoli reportedly seeking to include a €70 million release clause activated from the third year of his proposed five-year deal, all parties involved seem to be working towards a swift resolution.

Should Napoli finalize the personal terms with Buongiorno, he is expected to be officially unveiled as a Napoli player next week. This move would represent a significant addition to Napoli’s squad, potentially solidifying their defensive line and providing a major boost to their Serie A title aspirations under Conte’s leadership.
