Ese Brume has failed to win a medal in the women’s long jump event at the 2024 Olympic Games. Ese finished 5th in the final of the event with a mark of 6.70m.
The 28-year-old was expected to win a medal in the women’s long jump after claiming bronze three years ago in Tokyo.
Ruth Usoro and Prestina Ochonogor, the two other Nigerians in the final, also failed to reach the podium.
Nigeria had never had three athletes compete in an individual event final at the Olympics.
Nigeria has yet to earn a medal in the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
