Pep Guardiola: I Made A Mistake Against Man Utd

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has accepted full responsibility for his team’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Guardiola acknowledges that his first-half strategy “was not good.”

After winning the Premier League for four straight seasons, City was hoping to accomplish a double double this year.

However, the Red Devils swiftly found themselves behind two goals at Wembley thanks to strikes from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.

Jeremy Doku was substituted by Guardiola in the second half, and the winger ended up scoring a goal that was ultimately consoling.

Guardiola attempted to deflect some of the attention from his players following the game, which was just City’s fifth loss of the season.

“I think my game plan was not good in the first half,” he stated.

However, I must commend United for their quality and their second goal.

We weren’t in a position to attack them, in my opinion. I made a mistake.

“The strategy wasn’t really good. Disappointed today? That’s typical; teams lose championship games, but this season has been exceptional, with teams vying for every trophy in a positive manner. Next season, we’ll take a break and return.
