Ronaldo Close to Al Hilal Move, Deal to Be Announced Soon

Former Al-Batin president, Nasser Al-Huwaidi, has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of joining Al Hilal from Al Nassr.

According to Al-Huwaidi, the high-profile transfer will be announced soon, marking another major move in the Portuguese forward’s illustrious career.

Ronaldo, whose contract with Al Nassr expires in June, is expected to become a free agent and sign a short-term deal with Al Hilal, enabling him to feature in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

The 40-year-old has recently been linked with several clubs, including Wydad Casablanca, Palmeiras, Botafogo, and Al Hilal, but it appears the Saudi Pro League champions have won the race.

Speaking to Kooora, Al-Huwaidi stated: “Cristiano Ronaldo is close to joining Al Hilal, and this deal will be announced in the coming days.”

He added, “The legend’s arrival at Al Hilal will give the Club World Cup a huge boost, and Al Hilal will have the highest attendance in the tournament.”

Al-Huwaidi further revealed that Al Hilal is set to sign three additional international stars alongside Ronaldo to strengthen the squad.

“Ronaldo is currently better than Mitrovic, and I don’t think Al Hilal fans will object to his arrival. Rather, they will welcome him as long as he adds value to the team and contributes to winning trophies,” he concluded.
