Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped a hint that he may make a return to the Champions League soon after being released by Al Nassr.
Ronaldo was speaking on Thursday while assisting at the draw for this season’s league phase.
The former Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus striker was presented with an award for being the all-time best scorer in Champions League history, with 140 goals in the competition.
Ronaldo replied to the criticism of UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin that he longer competes in this competition; he plays in the Asian Champions League.
“For me, it is an honor to be here. Thank you for this incredible approach, which means a lot to me.
“As you know, the Champions League is the highest level in football. Then a chance was given, and not only does my record speak for itself, but I enjoyed competing in that competition. It’s something that motivates us.
“In football, you never know what’s going to happen. “Let’s see what the future holds.”
