Cristiano Ronaldo of Al Nassr has broken the Saudi League record for most goals scored in a single season.
Ronaldo increased his goal total to 35 against Al Ittihad with a strong header.
The 39-year-old helped Al Nassr win 2-0 by scoring twice.
In 31 games, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has also contributed 11 assists.
The previous record was set by Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2018–19 campaign.
Ronaldo and his teammates will have one more chance to win a trophy when they play Al Hilal in the King Cup of Champions final, even though Al Hilal won the SPL title with three games remaining.
