Ten Hag Reaches Deal to Become Bayer Leverkusen Manager

Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reportedly reached a two-year agreement in principle to become the new head coach of Bayer Leverkusen.

The update was shared by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a post on his X account on Saturday.

According to Romano, the agreement would keep Ten Hag at the club until 2027.

This development suggests that Ten Hag is set to take over from Xabi Alonso, who is expected to join Real Madrid following his tenure with Leverkusen.

“The agreement in principle between Erik ten Hag and Bayer Leverkusen is valid for two years, as revealed yesterday,” Romano tweeted.

“Contract until June 2027, total priority from ETH to the Bayer04 project… now waiting to get it sealed on the club side.”

Leverkusen finished second in the Bundesliga this season, coming in behind champions Bayern Munich.

All eyes will be on whether Ten Hag can guide the team to a Bundesliga title next season.
