Chelsea goalkeeper Ted Curd, 18, has departed the Premier League club to join Hampton & Richmond in the National League South on a season-long loan deal.
This move means that Curd will not have the opportunity to work under Chelsea’s new manager, Enzo Maresca, in the upcoming season.
Chelsea officially confirmed Curd’s transfer in a statement on their website, expressing best wishes for his season ahead: “Chelsea goalkeeper Ted Curd has joined National League South side Hampton & Richmond on a season-long loan. Good luck this season, Ted!”
During the latter half of the 2023/24 campaign, Curd was included on Chelsea’s first-team bench for the Carabao Cup semi-final home leg against Middlesbrough and an away fixture at Aston Villa.
