Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, has promised his players a “juicy bonus” if they manage to complete a dramatic comeback against Arsenal in their Champions League quarter-final tie.
After suffering a heavy 3-0 defeat in the first leg last week, Los Blancos now face a tough challenge in the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday evening.
In an effort to boost the team’s morale, Perez has reportedly stepped in with an incentive to motivate the players.
According to SPORT, Perez made a visit to the Real Madrid dressing room following their hard-fought 1-0 victory over Alaves in La Liga. During his visit, it is believed he directly addressed Kylian Mbappe and the rest of the squad, promising them a significant financial reward if they manage to qualify for the semi-finals.
“If you win and reach the semi-finals, you’ll receive a reward from the club,” Perez is said to have told the players.
