Fuel Scarcity: NNPCL Begs Nigerians For Understanding

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has asked Nigerians to be understanding about the ongoing fuel crisis.

Olufemi Soneye, NNPCL’s spokesperson, announced in a statement on Monday that the company made N3.3 trillion in profit at the end of 2023, according to its 2023 Audit Financial Statement.

Speaking about the fuel lineups in Lagos, Federal Capital Territory Abuja, and other places, Dapo Segun, Executive Vice President, Downstream, said the company is working with appropriate stakeholders to address distribution and evacuation logistics difficulties that are creating the continued fuel scarcity.

Meanwhile, in its 2023 audit financial statement, NNPCL stated that the growth represents over N700 billion, or 28%, as compared to the 2022 profit of N2.548 trillion.
