Aba killing: Gov Alex Otti Pays The Soldier’s Family a Visit

Abia State Governor Alex Otti paid a visit to the mother of Cpl Lucky Ikechukwu Ikpeama, a soldier who was killed at Obikabia Junction, Obingwa LGA, by unidentified gunmen.

The late Ikpeama was a native of Nvosi village, which is located in Isialangwa South LGA and is also home to the governor.

A four-month-old infant and a young bride were left behind by the deceased.

During the visit, Otti expressed his condolences to the late soldier’s family, especially to the old mother who was sobbing over her son’s passing.

Additionally, he restated his pledge that the State Government would assume responsibility for providing the children of the fallen soldiers with university-level scholarships.

The governor was notified by the deceased Army officer’s family that the soldier was supposed to be buried on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

They claimed to have applied to the Army authorities and been granted permission to bury the body.
