A coalition of All Progressives Congress stakeholders in Taraba State has criticised the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas, describing its performance as underwhelming.
In a statement signed by Godwin Villannah on behalf of the group and the Chief David Sabo Kente Political Organisation, the stakeholders said expectations for development have not been met.
“Rather than dividends of democracy, it has been failed promises without any tangible development to show, despite the resources that have accrued to the state,” the statement read.
The group alleged that long-standing party members have been sidelined following Kefas’ defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, with key appointments going to recent defectors.
It also raised concerns over infrastructure, citing incomplete or unfulfilled projects and questioning the impact of government initiatives, including foreign engagements.
Amid growing political tension ahead of 2027, the coalition urged Kente to contest the governorship, describing him as a strong candidate capable of repositioning the state.
