Bandits have killed one person and abducted at least 10 others, including men, women, and children, during a deadly attack on Gidan Dawa village in Dutsin-ma Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday night, was disclosed in a post shared by security analyst Bakatsine via his X handle on Monday. According to the report, the assailants stormed the village under the cover of darkness, unleashing violence on the unsuspecting residents.
During the invasion, one individual was killed, two others sustained injuries, and several houses were ransacked. Bakatsine confirmed that at least 10 villagers, comprising adults and children, were abducted during the attack.
“Yesterday night, bandits invaded Gidan Dawa village, Dutsin-ma LGA of Katsina State. They killed one person, injured two people, ransacked houses and abducted at least 10 people including men, women and children during the invasion,” he wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
