Ekiti State Assembly Approved New Clerk

On Monday, Mr Adeoye Aribasoye, Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, approved Mrs Titilope Agbede’s nomination as the Assembly’s new clerk.

Mr Babjide Agbeyo, the Special Adviser on Media to the Speaker, made the declaration in Ado-Ekiti.

According to the statement, the appointment was made following a comprehensive screening procedure and in accordance with Section 9(1) of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Commission Law of 2022.

Agbede succeeds the Assembly’s Deputy Clerk, Opeyemi Ajibola, who has been acting since May.

The new clerk comes from the state’s Ikole Local Government Area and his appointment is subject to House confirmation.

Prior to her new position, she served as Deputy Clerk (Legislative Matters).
