Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has clarified that he has not endorsed any candidate for the 2027 governorship election, dismissing such speculations as unfounded.
Governor Sule made this clarification through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Mr. Peter Ahemba, during a media briefing at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) secretariat in Lafia.
He emphasized that choosing the next governor is entirely the prerogative of the Nasarawa people, urging residents to disregard rumors suggesting otherwise.
The governor warned that political appointees spreading these false claims were guilty of insubordination, which would not be tolerated by his administration.
He advised aspirants within his government to concentrate on their official duties and await the proper time to declare their political intentions.
Governor Sule reiterated his dedication to delivering tangible democratic benefits to citizens over the remainder of his tenure.
He highlighted significant ongoing infrastructure projects such as the Lafia Flyover and Underpass, the Akwanga project, and the planned Keffi Flyover.
He further appealed to the public for continued support, assuring them that his administration remains committed to improving their quality of life.
