House Of Reps Postpone Resumption From Annual Vacation

The House of Representatives has shifted its resumption date a week.

Members of the lower parliament were expected to return from their annual holiday on Tuesday, September 17, but the plenary is now slated for Tuesday, September 24, at 11 a.m.

The decision to postpone the resumption was made known through an internal communication to members by the Clerk of the House, Dr Yahaya Danzaria, on the instruction of House Leadership, explained the House’s spokesman, Akintunde Rotimi.

No reason has been stated to have caused the change in date of resumption.

Rotimi added that when the House resumes on September 25, it would also inaugurate the new board of the Public Complaints Commission, PCC, and Joint Senate/House Ad Hoc Committees on Petroleum Industry Investigation.
