In eight local government areas where there was looting and destruction during the End BadGovernance rally, the Jigawa State Government has eased the curfew.
Following the state security meeting presided over by Governor Umar Namadi on Monday, Hon. Sagir Musa, the state commissioner for information, youth support, and culture, made this revelation.
In the concerned local government district, the curfew was previously loosened from 0500 hours to 2100 hours (5 am to 9 pm).
They consist of the following LGAs: Babura, Roni, Hadejia, Dutse, Kazaure, Gumel, and Kiyawa.
Mr. Sagir stated that the choice was made after the impacted local government regions’ security conditions were examined.
With this ruling, he stated, everyone is now free to travel around without any limitations.
But in order for the state to grow, he asked its citizens to uphold law and order.
