Mojisola Meranda returns as Lagos State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker.
Meranda will resume as Honourable Mudashiru Obasa has been returned as Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker.
She was shifted as Deputy Speaker after vacating Speaker’s seat on Monday.
Interestingly, Obasa has been returned as Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker on Monday.
This is an indication that the House leadership has returned to its pre-Obasa’s impeachment in February 2025 on corruption grounds.
Obasa and Meranda had been at loggerheads for weeks over the Speakership of Lagos State.
The Honourable Desmond Elliot was clearly devastated in a TVC clip, struggling to maintain a hold on his tears as he pleaded with another legislator to be called on to speak.
