A yet-to-be-identified middle-aged man has hanged himself to death in the Enyenkorin area of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, on Friday morning.
The deceased reportedly took his life by hanging from a tree along Ilorin-Eyenkorin road.
One eyewitness, who identified himself as Alhaji Waheed, said they found a small paper under the tree with telephone numbers of his wife and brother in Gombe State written on it.
The Police officers from Budo Nuhu Division, Kwara State Police Command, immediately arrived at the scene and conveyed the dead to the mortuary section of the General Hospital in Ilorin.
Meanwhile, efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, in Ilorin on Friday proved abortive.
