The Jigawa State Government has designated Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 as a work-free day to commemorate the Eidel-Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
This was revealed in a statement signed by the State Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri. Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, Public Relations Officer, made the statement available to journalists.
“I write to inform you that Government has declared 14th R/Awwal,1446AH (17th September, 2024) as work free day to celebrate the Birthday (Maulud Nabiy) of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W),” according to the announcement.
While making the statement on behalf of Governor Malam Umar Namadi, the Head of Service congratulated all Muslim faithful in Jigawa State and across the country on this year’s event.
Dagaceri urged workers in the state to use the time to pray to Allah (SWT) for protection and guidance.
