NNPP Modifies Their Logo

The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, has authorized a new logo for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

The party also stated that it had expelled those who claim to represent distinct factions within its ranks.

The party, which won Kano State’s governorship race in the 2023 general elections, made the announcement on Thursday.

The NNPP stated that its newly approved logo is intended to establish an identity for its values in national development.

Ladipo Johnson, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, said in an Abuja statement that the new red-white-red emblem is a break from the previous green and blue colours.

“The educational image of a graduation cap on a book is a symbolic representation of the pursuit of knowledge, which forms the nucleus of associated developments in many other areas of growth and advancement in society,” according to him.

He stated that the logo modification was adopted during the party’s convention in Abuja on April 6, 2024, and that it followed due process by relaying the wishes of the party members to INEC, which has now written to the party’s leadership to express its agreement.

The statement cited INEC’s description of the logo, which was stated to have been authorized on June 6, 2024, as having “a graduation cap on a book with the inscription “Education for All” inserted in the white section and red-white-red horizontal stripes.”

According to the press secretary, the NNPP is now ready to engage Nigerians in its objective of national regeneration and societal improvement.

“We aim to offer chances for everyone in a contemporary society where merit is valued and no one falls behind. “Education is critical to this goal,” he stated.

The NNPP also underlined that there were no factions in the party, emphasizing that any who claimed otherwise had been expelled.

The party further stated that their blind pursuit of a fake crisis had been tested in multiple courts, with their arguments dismissed.

“So, we want to make this important clarification, especially to the media so that no one is misinformed or misled into perpetuating misguided and illusionary notions,” he told reporters.
