NSCDC Parades 12 Vandals In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, paraded 12 suspected vandals.

At the ceremony, the state commandant of the NSCDC, Idris Bande, told reporters that the 12 suspects were charged with burglary and theft.

“Adamawa is not for vandals or scavengers. “We are completely committed to protecting public assets and bringing criminal elements to justice,” Commandant Bande said.

He said that the command has resolved to ensure full compliance with the decree by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri banning scavenging activities.

“The NSCDC has, since then, deployed personnel to effect the enforcement of this directive. “Any person caught running these illegal activities will be brought to book,” Bande said.

This renewed offensive against vandals and other fraudsters has been in line with the charge made by the Commandant General of NSCDC, Ahmed Audi. This was contained in a statement published by the state command spokesman, DSC Nyako Baba.

The announcement explained that the CG has instructed all state commandants to make the security of critical national assets and infrastructure a priority.
