NYSC DG: Corps Members to Receive N77,000 Allowance from March

Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), explained that all the Corps members will be credited with their new monthly allowance of N77,000 from March 2025.

According to him, the Scheme and the Federal Government are concerned about the welfare of NYSC members and will always put their well-being first at all times.

The Director General made this revelation on Thursday when he spoke to Corps members at the Federal Capital Territory’s Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices in Abuja.

Nafiu commended the sacrificial service of the Corps members to the country and urged them to remain calm, committed, focused, and disciplined.

He praised the Scheme’s original founders for coming up with the idea and appealed to everyone to support the initiative.

Nafiu went on to say that NYSC is a wonderful scheme that exposes graduates and familiarizes them with the values of cultures in places outside their home states.

He went on to say that the management of NYSC would continue to promote the virtues of patriotism, discipline, self-discipline, good morals, leadership qualities, and teamwork in subsequent batches of Corps members.

“With effect from March, you are going to receive the sum of Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira as your monthly allowance.

“NYSC is good at record keeping and l can assure you that your money will be paid. The Nation and the Scheme appreciate you,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of her colleagues at Garki Zone, Corps Member Zaka Deborah Alheri FC/24A/5831, lauded the Director General for his conscientious efforts towards the payment of the increased monthly allowance.
