One Killed In Israeli Air Strike – Lebanon Ministry

The health ministry in Lebanon, which is a country plagued by economic malaise and gripped in upheaval against the elite ruling class due to its rampant corruption, said on Sunday that one person was killed from an Israeli raid aimed at targeting a vehicle operated south of it.

It followed a series of Israeli air strikes on what it called Hezbollah targets during the day.

The health ministry confirmed the fatality in a statement relayed by National News Agency (NNA) saying an “Israeli drone strike on a car in Khiam village” had killed one person.

The Hezbollah-supporting Amal movement later acknowledged the slain was a fighter from Khiam.

The NNA also quoted the ministry as saying two people were wounded in “an Israeli bombardment… that targeted some less important spots” targeting a first area north of Sidon and then a second further south.
