The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, has mobilized 2,500 personnel across all 23 Local Government Areas to ensure safety and protect critical infrastructure during the Sallah celebration.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Musa Labaran.
According to the statement, the Commandant, CC Muhammadu NB Dansadau, has directed the comprehensive deployment as part of efforts to safeguard lives, property, and national assets before, during, and after the festivities.
The Commandant gave strong assurances to residents, emphasizing the NSCDC’s commitment to their protection. He also issued a stern warning to criminal elements:
“The Commandant assures all residents of the state regarding their safety and warned criminals to repent or face the consequences of their actions.”
While extending warm wishes to the people of Kaduna, Dansadau urged public cooperation in intelligence sharing:
He wished the residents a happy Sallah celebration and urges them to provide useful information about any suspicious individuals or criminal activities for immediate action.
He further encouraged the people to remain hopeful and united in prayer:
Additionally, he encouraged all residents to continue praying for peace, emphasizing that meaningful progress can only be achieved through peaceful coexistence.
The Kaduna NSCDC command has reiterated its readiness to work closely with other security agencies to maintain law and order throughout the holiday period and beyond.
