President Bola Tinubu is expected to meet with members of organized labour on Thursday, including the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), to discuss a new minimum wage.
Sources within the presidency confirmed that the meeting has been scheduled for 4 p.m.
Festus Osifo, the president of TUC, confirmed this to reporters on Wednesday.
“The president has invited the organized labor (NLC and TUC) for a consultation tomorrow, July 11,” he stated in a brief text message.
