Tinubu’s Policies Easing Economic Hardships – Minister of Information

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has assured Nigerians that the policies implemented by President Bola Tinubu’s administration are beginning to show positive results.

Speaking during the 4th edition of the 2025 ministerial briefing, which featured the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN; Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa; and the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Ahmed, Idris provided updates on the administration’s progress.

Idris praised the media for their consistent efforts in covering government activities, emphasizing their role in keeping Nigerians informed about developments under Tinubu’s administration.

Highlighting the significance of ongoing reforms, Idris acknowledged the challenges faced by citizens but assured that the discomfort is temporary.

“The initial pains that often accompany these changes are the necessary price for a more stable and prosperous future,” he said.

Expressing gratitude to Nigerians for their patience and trust in President Tinubu’s vision, Idris underscored the importance of current policy reforms.

“These reforms are not just well-intentioned, they are essential for the growth and development of our nation. Let me say that we have crossed the Rubicon, and the pains are gradually easing as the positive impact of these reforms begins to take shape.

“Already, we are witnessing a marked reduction in food prices, stability in exchange rates, and a gradual decline in the cost of petroleum products, which are clear indicators that the reforms are yielding positive results.

“As we continue on this journey, I am appealing to our religious leaders to use this sacred period of Ramadan and Lent to offer prayers for the peace, security, and progress of our nation.

“I want to urge our Muslim and Christian leaders, particularly during this period of fasting and reflection, to continue to pray for Nigeria’s success. With unity, faith, and collective effort, we will emerge stronger, more resilient, and positioned for lasting prosperity,” the minister added.
