Trump Revokes Security Clearances of Biden, Harris, Clinton, and Others

President Donald Trump revoked the security clearance of former President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and several others.

The White House signed a presidential order on Saturday, which directed the heads of the department and agencies to implement the revocation with immediate effect.

In the memo, the president stated that he had determined it was “no longer in the national interest” for the named individuals to have access to classified information.

Names on the list include Antony Blinken, Jacob Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Andrew Weissmann, Elizabeth Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, Alexander Vindman, and members of Joe Biden’s family.

The directors of the executive departments and agencies are also instructed to take “all further action as appropriate” to revoke any security clearances currently held by these individuals.

The individuals will no longer have access to classified information or “unescrowned access to secure United States Government facilities.

They are also not allowed to be given classified briefings, such as the President’s Daily Brief, or to have access to classified information held by any member of the Intelligence Community.

The president also directed US organizations to revoke any security clearance offered to the individuals if it was done in the course of their work for a private organization.

Blinken was Secretary of State, Sullivan was National Security Adviser, and Monaco was Deputy Attorney General.
