Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has visited former Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola and Pastor Tunde Bakare in Lagos.
Muyiwa Adekeye, the media adviser to El-Rufai, confirmed this to X on Sunday.
“Malam Nasir @elrufai was in Lagos today to visit Ogbeni @raufaregbesola and Pastor Tunde Bakare,” Adekeye tweeted.
El-Rufai’s visit to both men followed closely on the heels of his visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari in Kaduna.
His Lagos trip has triggered new speculations about his political future and whether he will make any key alliances ahead of the 2027 elections.
Aregbesola, who is a two-term governor of Osun State and President Bola Tinubu’s close confidant, is a recent APC defector following a long-standing issue in the party in Osun State.
Bakare, on the other hand, is a significant political figure and a previous presidential candidate for the APC.
